There will be changes in tram traffic during replacement of tram switches in Ausekļa Street
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that there will be changes in the traffic of trams No. 5, 7 and 11 on July 26 from approximately 23:25 during the replacement of switches in Ausekļa Street.
Tram No. 5, which will depart from the terminal in Iļģuciems at 23:16, will serve route „Iļģuciems – 13th January Street”. The second part of the route („13th January Street – Mīlgrāvis”) will be served by bus No. 5T, to which passengers will have to transfer to continue the trip.
Bus No. 5T
It will depart at 23:41 from tram stop „13th January Street” and go along 13th January Street, Radio Street (will take on passengers at a temporary stop at 23:44), Krišjāņa Barona Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, Kronvalda Boulevard, Elizabetes Street, Eksporta Street, Pētersalas Street, Ganību dambi, Tilta Street, Sarkandaugavas Street, Sliežu Street, Tvaika Street to Mīlgrāvis.
It will depart from Mīlgrāvis at 0:14 and go along Tvaika Street, Sliežu Street, Sarkandaugavas Street, Tilta Street, Ganību dambis, Pētersalas Street, Eksporta Street, Elizabetes Street, Kronvalda Boulevard, Meierovica Boulevard, Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, Prāgas Street, Centrāltirgus Street, Maskavas Street to tram depot No. 3 (tram stop „Lubānas Street”).
Tram No. 7, which will depart from the terminal in Ķengarags at 23:11, 23:35 and 23:59, will go by the route to tram stop „Central market”, then in Maskavas Street, 13th January Street, Prāgas Street, Centrāltirgus Street and back to Ķengarags. A part of the route from 13th January Street to Ausekļa Street will be served by bus No 7T.
Bus No. 7T
It will depart at 23:37, 23:53, 0:01, 0:17 and 0:25 from tram stop „13th January Street” and go along 13th January Street, Radio Street, (will take on passengers at a temporary stop at 23:40, 23:56, 0:04, 0:20 and 0:28) Krišjāņa Barona Street, Aspazijas Boulevard, Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, Kronvalda Boulevard to Ausekļa Street.
From Ausekļa Street, it will depart at 23:48, 0:04 and 0:12 and will go along Kronvalda Boulevard, Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street to 13th January Street. The buses which will depart from Ausekļa Street at 0:28 and 0:36 will go along Kronvalda Boulevard, Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica Boulevard, Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street, 13th January Street, Prāgas Street, Centrāltirgus Street, Maskavas Street to tram depot No. 3 (tram stop „Lubānas Street”).
Tram No. 11, which will depart from the terminal at Mežaparks at 23:03, 23:25 and 23:46, will go by the route to Krišjāņa Barona Street, then in Krišjāņa Barona Street, Radio Street to tram stop „Railway Terminal Square” and back along Aspazijas Boulevard, Krišjāņa Barona Street and further by the route to Mežaparks. From Ausekļa Street the route will be closed.
We would like to stress – if a passenger goes from the part of the above tram routes served by buses No. 5T or 7T, he/she has to register the trip (he/she shall use tickets like before, i.e. monthly tickets for tram routes No. 5 or 7).
Passengers who have bought a ticket or registered their trip on a section of the above routes (in tram No. 5, 7, 11 or bus No. 5T, 7T) will be able to transfer to the other part of the respective route and continue the trip without buying a ticket or registering the trip.
If a passenger has a monthly ticket first registered on tram route No. 11, then the ticket will be valid in buses No. 5T and 7T within the overlapping sections of the routes. In other cases, passengers have to buy tickets or register their trips.
